Update 2/5/21 It is roped off for covid precautions so put this on your list of places to go to once the numbers go down.
Put in the address in your GPS and drive straight into the airport and you will see a sign on the right for playground parking. Park there and walk on the other side of the control tower. You will see a restaurant Downwind Restaurant & Lounge on the left.
The playground is right next to the runway. There is no shade at all. so go on a cool day. The have a covered area which is great to stay in the shade or eat at. It does get a little windy in there.
They have public bathrooms and a changing table here too. They have an area you can sit and look to the right and you can watch planes take off and left and see them land.
If you have a plane lover this is the place to com! What a fun place for a birthday party too!

After the hot sun, we went about 1.4 miles away to the Frosty Caboose. It is an ice cream place in an old train car, so you can keep up with a transportation theme for the day!
