7 Acre Barngrill (Milton)

Updated: Mar 9, 2021

It is Milton Moms Thirsty Thursday!

Each week I feature a local place to eat that we enjoy! Be sure to check out our other favorite local places to eat here.

Want to eat where they "puts a modern spin on southern comfort food in a contempo-country atmosphere." ( from their website) and feature locally sourced ingredients whenever they can. This adorable place at 850 Hickory Float Road, Milton, which use to be Buice’s General Store from 1930, is at the Birmingham crossroads and has indoor dining as well as a great front porch and a Barngarden to eat in. It sits on 7 acres and if you notice they keep the theme with some prices $7.77. They have 77 whiskeys and 12 beers to choose from.

This is another of Chris Sedgwicks fabulous places. His others include Pure Taqueria, Made Kitchen, and The Union.

When you walk in there are two areas to sit at. The bar is on the right side with regular seats. The left side also has booths and tables and has a handicap type ramp to go down. We were seated on the left side since the right side was full. Our waitress Dawn, gave us a big southern welcome.

She gave us the menus and they have a great specialty drink menu. My friends had the mule, Gin Raspberry Fizz and White Sangria. They liked them all.

They also have special dishes for the day.

My friends got the cod dish with a cauliflower puree and asparagus. They ❤️it. I had a salad with the freshest grilled chicken I have ever tasted. Another friend there had the burger and said it was really good and heard the wings were good too.

For dessert we had the pecan pie priced at, you guessed it, 7.77 (like 7 acres) and ice cream on it at 3.14. (Get it, the pie number.) My other friends got the Buttermilk Pie. Both were delicious.

When the bill comes, if you pay by charge card they bring a little machine to you and it comes in a cute wooden stand with of course a 7 on it.

There is plenty of parking and they have done an amazing job of curbside pick up since covid. I have to say, I think they had the best set up early on during covid to make people feel safe and still enjoy their food! This is when they added the Barngarden section so people could safely eat outside!

My favorite is the crab cake and pecan pie! My sons always enjoys the rice krispies treats too!

We love going here, where heaven meets the 7!
